What to wear at Skidome

At Ski Dome, it’s always -4°C with no wind or precipitation. Wear warm, breathable clothing and dress in layers – a base layer, mid-layer or ski jacket, and training or ski tights. Don’t forget gloves and a hat or headband.

Rent equipment as a package or on its own. All rentals include full-day, unlimited use for individuals and groups of any size.

How to book a personal instructor or activity

It’s great that you’re looking to book an activity with us.

We offer a wide range of activities, from one-to-one personal training to biathlon for larger groups. Whatever the size of your group, we have something for you. Read more about our group activities. here.

Pricing

We offer day passes, 10-visit passes, annual passes, and corporate punch cards. Here you’ll find our prices.

The entrance fee includes a key card for the changing rooms and lockable lockers. The card is used throughout your visit and must be returned afterwards. Changing rooms include toilets, showers, and a sauna.

Course Overview

The course features two classic tracks and a skate lane. It is gently undulating, 1.2 km long, and clearly signposted for easy navigation.
For more experienced skiers, there is a steeper slope – here you go up one floor and ski with a view of the football pitch. Under the hill is our shooting range Biathlon.

In addition to the ski track, we offer two technical training areas: one flat and track-free, and one slightly sloped with two classic tracks and a skate lane – ideal for developing your technique.

Pushchairs and prams at Skidome

Yes! Monday to Friday, from opening until 16:00, you’re welcome to use a ski carriage/buggy adapted for cross-country skiing. Please make sure it is clean before you start skiing.

Visitors

Everyone is welcome

Ski Dome is open to everyone, from beginners to elite skiers of all ages. Individual skiing requires no booking. Groups of 6 or more should book via kontakt@skidome.ski. A facility fee of SEK 999 excl. VAT applies to groups of 15 or more training with their own instructor.

Low season (April–September)
Weekdays are generally quieter, with more availability for lessons and events. Most visitors come on weekends.

Peak season (October–March)
Courses, camps, and training are in full swing. Expect the busiest periods on evenings and weekends.

Changing rooms

The entrance fee always includes a key card for the changing rooms. With this card, you can lock any available locker. The changing rooms are shared with Nordic Wellness. The changing rooms include lockable lockers as well as toilets, showers, and a sauna. The sauna is available during Nordic Wellness staffed opening hours.

Equipment rental

Rent your ski equipment at the Ski Dome Shop. We provide classic and skate skis, boots, and poles for both adults and children. Fitting is fast and simple when you know your height, weight, and shoe size.

Our snow and preparations

We manufacture our snow ourselves using a snow cannon inside the facility. Production takes place as needed, at any time of the year, and enables skiing all year round. Previously, we were closed for snow replacement – thanks to our own snow production, we are now open year-round.

Snow preparations
Grooming frequency depends on the season and visitor numbers, as the snow needs time to rest in order to create optimal conditions.

Low season (May-August)The snow gets a lot of rest, therefore one grooming session a week is enough. Summer offers our best and fastest snow.

Peak season (September–April)High occupancy necessitates more frequent grooming, up to three times a week, and snow scraping when needed.

Ski waxing tips

We recommend a binding wax suitable for temperatures from a few degrees below to a few degrees above freezing – Vauhti GS Red is ideal. Skin skis and tape also work well.

For glide wax, violet or blue is suitable. Do you want a practical solution? Try Vauhti liquid LDR, available in Skidomeshopen.

Fluorinated Wax Ban
For health and environmental reasons, we only use fluorine-free ski wax. Please use fluorine-free products at all times.

Temperature and clothing

At Ski Dome, it’s always -4°C – colder than you might think. Dress in functional layers such as thermal underwear, a jumper or ski jacket, and tights. Don’t forget gloves and a hat or headband, and enjoy skiing with no wind or precipitation to worry about.

Has Skidome closed for snow change?

No, Skidome is open all year and no longer closes for an annual snow change in the summer. We produce snow and perform snow maintenance on an ongoing basis throughout the year to be able to offer skiing all year round. Occasionally, shorter operational stops may occur for maintenance and snow production.
