Instructors

Johan Didron

Johan started skiing as an adult and has since then dedicated himself fully to cross-country skiing. Over the years, he has developed a training philosophy that combines enjoyment, discipline, and technique, which he now helps others benefit from

The best thing about the instructor job:
Seeing others develop and reach their goals is what motivates me most. I am passionate about helping skiers take the next step in their cross-country journey—whether the goal is completing Vasaloppet or achieving a top-150 result. I value continuity, planning, and mental strength, and I believe training should be structured and serious, yet flexible, sustainable, and above all enjoyable

Experience and qualifications:
Aged 43, he is aiming for a top-150 finish in Vasaloppet. He has progressed from starting in the 9th row to the 1st row, and has twice finished inside the top 250. With a training focus of roughly 70% double poling, 20% running, and 10% strength training, he has built strong expertise in endurance, mental toughness, strength, and double poling technique for long-distance racing.

Stefan Norling

Calm, structured, and focused on enjoyment, Stefan helps you reach your skiing goals step by step. He sees cross-country skiing as a complete form of training, combining endurance, strength, and roller skiing to keep sessions varied and motivating, and supports you in becoming a stronger skier

The best thing about the instructor job:
Meeting and inspiring both new and experienced skiers, and seeing how their skiing evolves over time, is what I enjoy most. I especially value the moment when the technique suddenly falls into place.

Experience and qualifications:
A dedicated cross-country skiing enthusiast who has skied since childhood and completed 20 Vasaloppet races. I have broad expertise in technique and equipment, and have worked at major competitions as a ski technician and test skier. Today I coach at the Gothenburg Ski Association after several years at IK Stern, and also travel to selected competitions for ski waxing and testing services

Maxime Schlichter

Maxime is committed to finding solutions and supporting your progression in skiing through a pedagogical approach. He teaches with the belief that you should experience joy in skiing; if you do, you are undoubtedly on the right path to mastering the technique.

The best thing about the instructor job:
When a trainee grasps a small detail that makes a big difference—that’s what I find most rewarding. I especially enjoy seeing beginners transform their attitude, going from feeling uncertain on skis and thinking skiing is ‘boring’ or ‘difficult’ to suddenly thinking, ‘Wow, this is fun!’

Experience and merits:
Born and raised in France, I have competed in both alpine and freestyle skiing. I have worked in the Alps preparing ski parks, as a lifeguard, and as a ski instructor. During my time in the Alps, I developed a growing interest in cross-country skiing, which has since become a strong passion that has continued to grow after moving to Sweden.

Niclas Helgesson

Driven by a passion for people and skiing, Niclas creates positive and inspiring experiences where the emphasis is on enjoyment, community, and having fun together.

The best thing about the instructor job:
For me, the greatest reward is helping people discover skiing and seeing how they develop—both individually and together as a group.

Experience and merits
I’m passionate about skiing and find it to be one of the most rewarding activities there is. My own focus has primarily been on long-distance cross-country skiing, and I have extensive experience coaching and developing both individuals and groups.

Örjan Skatt

Start from your strengths, not your limitations. Learn effective ways to break through technical barriers and get more enjoyment from your skiing.

The best thing about the instructor job:
Discover new perspectives through the people you meet. Then experience the pure satisfaction of finding your flow—when the technique works and the smile says it all.

Experience and qualifications:
A lifelong endurance athlete who competed in cross-country skiing throughout the 1980s and 1990s. After a competitive career, the focus shifted to recreational sport and coaching, with a particular passion for skate skiing. Educated through a ski academy, military sports program, and collegiate competition in New Mexico, USA. Today, competes and coaches in surfski paddling while enjoying both skiing and paddling year-round.

Anders Zetterlund

Known for his calm and encouraging approach, Anders enjoys helping skiers build confidence and improve their technique. He is equally at home teaching both classic and skate skiing.

The best thing about the instructor job:
You never know where a new opportunity will lead. One of the most rewarding parts of being an instructor is meeting new people and following their development as skiers. Anders was born and raised in Härnösand, Västernorrland, where skiing became a natural part of life from an early age. As both a junior and senior athlete, he competed for Bondsjöhöjdens IK, building a lifelong passion for the sport that he now shares with others.

Experience and qualifications:
Gym instructor and certified ski coach with a passion for helping people develop and grow as skiers. Actively involved with the Swedish Ski Association and the Skidor Hela Livet initiative.

Therese Granelli

Driven by a passion for skiing, training, and healthy living, delivering inspiring instruction with energy and enthusiasm.

The best thing about the instructor job:
For me, the best thing about being an instructor is sharing the joy of skiing and encouraging an active, healthy lifestyle.

Experience and merits:
With a background in endurance sports, I have completed two Swedish Classics, four Vasaloppet races, and an Ironman. Although I am relatively new to cross-country skiing, I know firsthand what it's like to learn the sport as an adult. Alongside my role as a ski instructor, I also work as a group fitness instructor..
