Just 10 minutes from Gothenburg city centre, Skidome offers year-round cross-country skiing in a unique indoor environment. From first-time skiers to elite athletes, everyone is welcome to enjoy a full-body workout that develops fitness, coordination, and strength while remaining kind to the joints. No matter the season, perfect skiing conditions await.

The indoor arena at Ski Dome obviously places high demands on the energy supply, as the temperature needs to be around -4 degrees for the snow to live up to our customers' expectations. We compensate for this by using all the excess heat generated by the cooling system in Ski Dome to heat the rest of the arena. In addition, we have seven mountain heat pumps for heating and hot water in the arena. The arena has solar panels installed on the roof, which contributes to the electricity supply that the businesses benefit from. All the ski machines at Ski Dome run on eco-diesel to reduce emissions. We produce our own snow on-site using our snow cannon. In Ski Dome, it is forbidden to groom with fluorinated products or use fluorinated skis. We always groom with fluorinated-free snow and only sell fluorinated-free snow in the store.

We actively collaborate with local stakeholders, including hotels, restaurants, conference facilities, ski clubs, schools, and youth organisations, to create value within the local community. Our goal is to offer a stable and inclusive environment for both visitors and employees. Through courses, lessons, and group activities, participants of all ages and skill levels can develop their skiing with support from our instructors. To encourage regular participation, we also offer affordable 10-visit passes and memberships.

At Skidome, we work, when we can, with local partners. In the arena where we operate, we have our main partners, Kviberg Park Hotel & Conference and Glenn Sportsbar to name a few. Thanks to the close collaboration with Kviberg Park Hotel & Conference, we are able to ensure safe working hours for our employees, as the hotel’s reception can also handle access for our customers to Skidome. We are continuously working to spread out the visiting hours with maximum pressure and inform about the occupancy status, and offer generous opening hours for our visitors. Since we may be unmanned during certain hours due to investment in digital entrance solutions, visitors can ski during generous opening hours all year round.
